Therefore Easter is one of the most important events, with a large number of celebration acts during Holy Week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While it is true that religion in general is becoming less followed by the new generations, it is still lived with passion among the oldest inhabitants. And you are a believer or not, it is part of the culture and is an event worthy of knowing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the year 2016 have been prepared numerous events, which are summarized below:<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Program Easter 2016<\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Friday, March 18<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From 08.15 pm, at the Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia, <em>Procesi\u00f3n de la Dolorosa<\/em>, which takes the following route through the streets of Puerto de la Cruz::\u00a0Plaza de la Iglesia, Calles C\u00f3logan, Luis de la Cruz, San Juan, Santo Domingo, Plaza del Charco, Blanco, Iriarte, San Juan, Luis de la Cruz, C\u00f3logan and Plaza de la Iglesia<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sunday, March 20<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The acts start from the morning at 10.30 am, with the <em>Procesi\u00f3n de la Entrada Triunfal de Jes\u00fas en Jerusal\u00e9n<\/em>, at the Iglesia San Francisco, where also a new procession at 9 pm will take place, thus culminating on Palm Sunday, with the <em>Procesi\u00f3n de la Oraci\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas en el Huerto de Los Olivos<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Monday, March 21<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once again in the Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia, at 8.1pmh, takes place the <em>Prozession del Se\u00f1or atado a la Columna<\/em>, making the corresponding tour of the same locations of the <em>Procesi\u00f3n de la Dolorosa<\/em>, as mentioned above.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tuesday, March 22<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Holy Tuesday will take place, also in the Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia, at 8:15 pm, the <em>Procesi\u00f3n de San Juan y La Soledad<\/em> to encounter with the <em>Se\u00f1or de la Humildad y Paciencia<\/em> at the Iglesia de San Francisco.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wednesday, March 23<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At 08.15 pm starts the <em>Procesi\u00f3n del Se\u00f1or del Gran Poder de Dios<\/em> at the Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thursday, March 24<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can enjoy the <em>Procesi\u00f3n del Nazareno<\/em> at 8:15 pm at the der Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Friday, March 25<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Good Friday will be the most intense day of all of Holy Week 2016 in Puerto de la Cruz with five different processions. The first one starts at 5 am qith the <em>Procesi\u00f3n del Cristo de la Salud <\/em>at the Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia. Late in the afternoon, will continue the religious acts with the <em>Procesi\u00f3n de la Piedad<\/em> at 6:30 pm at the Iglesia La Pe\u00f1ita, with the following route:\u00a0Calles San Felipe, Mazaroco, El Lomo, Teobaldo Power, Pe\u00f1\u00f3n, Dr. Ingram, Iriarte, San Juan, Luis de la Cruz, C\u00f3logan and Plaza de la Iglesia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At 7:45 pm at the Iglesia San Francisco will be held the <em>Procesi\u00f3n de la Oraci\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas en el Huerto de los Olivos, los Siete Dolores de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora y el Se\u00f1or de la Humildad y Pac<\/em>iencia, following the streets San Juan, Luis de la Cruz, Colog\u00e1n and Plaza la Iglesia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Half an hour later at the Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia, you can follow the <em>Procesi\u00f3n Magna del Santo Sepulcro<\/em>, which starts from Plaza de la Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia. Immediately after its completion begins the <em>Procesi\u00f3n del Silencio con Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de los Dolores<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sunday, March 27<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The last act of the Holy Week 2016 in Puerto de la Cruz takes place on Sunday 27 March at 12 noon with the <em>Procesi\u00f3n del Resucitado<\/em> at the Plaza de la Iglesia de Francia.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The most important locations of the Easter processions in Puerto de la Cruz<\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-570\" src=\"https:\/\/aptosambassador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/iglesia-de-nuestra-senora-de-la-pena-francia.jpg\" alt=\"Iglesia que ver en el Puerto de la Cruz\" width=\"699\" height=\"468\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As you can see, the vast majority of processions take as its starting point the Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1a de Francia, and all processions starting here, always use the same route:\u00a0Plaza de la Iglesia, calles C\u00f3logan, Luis de la Cruz, San Juan, Santo Domingo, Plaza del Charco, Blanco, Iriarte, San Juan, Luis de la Cruz, C\u00f3logan und Plaza de la Iglesia.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Iglesia de San Francisco<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another point of special relevance in the Holy Week of Puerto de la Cruz, since here start a few processions. The Iglesia de San Francisco also has an additional point of interest, since it is considered the oldest building in the city, built in 1599, and within which you can enjoy valuable artistic works.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Iglesia de la Pe\u00f1ita<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is a parish church located in the district of La Ranilla, of marine nature and with a rather modern architecture since the original church was demolished in 1969.
