Playa La Arena is a beautiful beach located in the coastal town of Mesa del Mar, easily accessible by foot and where the waters are usually calm as it is protected from ocean currents. You should know that one of its main attractions is that it can enjoy beautiful sunsets and a great show of the nature.<\/p>\n

The length of the beach of La Arena is 350 meters and it has fine black volcanic sand.<\/p>\n

Although the beach was closed to the public in 2014 because of the danger of landslides, it was reopened to the public the following year after making various rehabilitation and conditioning work which enabled that residents and tourists could again enjoy the beach with tranquility, while the economic activity in the area relaunched.<\/p>\n

In the area is also a building that reminds quite of a castle. This was the place of leisure and residence at various times in the life of surrealistic painter Oscar Dominguez.<\/p>\n

The small village of Mesa del Mar is located five kilometers away from Tacoronte. In addition to the Playa de la Arena, you can also find some natural pools in this small town of just over 300 inhabitants.<\/p>\n

There is a path that will attract the attention of walkers connecting the villages of Mesa del Mar and El Pris along the coast.<\/p>\n
