We are now in the month of July 2016, possibly the month that is expected most eagerly among the inhabitants of Puerto de la Cruz, since it is the month par excellence where the city takes a festive look in honor especially to the Virgin del Carmen, with many sports, religious, institutional and cultural activities, something for all tastes and all kinds of people.<\/p>\n

Activity program<\/h2>\n

Below we will review the activities planned for the festivities of July in Puerto de la Cruz in this 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sport activities<\/h3>\n

\"running\"<\/p>\n

Puerto de la Cruz is an excellent city for the sport thanks to the facilities that can be enjoyed in it, the presence of the sea along the entire town and numerous beaches perfect to host sports competitions which will take place during July festivities Puerto de la Cruz.<\/p>\n

On 13 July at Columbus Avenue between 10 am and 2 pm a basketball tournament 3 \u00d7 3.<\/p>\n

On 16 July there is the most popular sport, football, with the X edition of the Trofeo Virgen del Carmen soccer match between the teams SD Tenisca, Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz. The same day there will also be competitions of Table Tennis in the Sports Pavilion Miguel Angel Diaz between 10 am and 6 pm.<\/p>\n

On July 17 at 5 pm will begin the Canary Infinity Xtreme race, in its seventh edition in the Barranco de San Felipe.<\/p>\n

The Plaza del Charco<\/a> takes center stage again on July 23 with sports activities such as cross training, spinning, Zumba and the popular run for beginners of running. As we discussed earlier in our blog, running is a very popular sport in Puerto de la Cruz<\/a>, an optimal city for this sport.<\/p>\n

Cultural activities<\/h3>\n

If you are a person who enjoys the culture and knowing the most characteristic features and identity of the culture that you visit, through different types of art such as music, also on July festivities Puerto de la Cruz you can find numerous activities.<\/p>\n

On 15, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 July, numerous parrandas take the city to liven up with folk performances on several central points of Puerto de la Cruz.<\/p>\n

On 12 July act at the harbour the groups Bejentud, Buganvillas, Los D\u00f3niz and parranda El Chaboco.<\/p>\n

The July festivities will be dismissed with a concert by \u00c1ngel Perera at the Sala de Arte J\u00f3ven de la Casa de la Juventud on 30 July at 9 pm and the recital of the Parranda El Chirato on July 31 at 8 pm on the Plaza de Europa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fiesta par excellence<\/h3>\n

The July festivities of Puerto de la Cruz have its peak on the day of the Embarcaci\u00f3n de la Virgen del Carmen, which this year 2016 will take place on July 12. A very special date for the inhabitants of Puerto de la Cruz that mixes religious tradition with an especially festive day.
