Facts of the sculpture of the Monument of the fisherwoman<\/h2>\n

The fisherwoman Monument is a bronze sculpture carved in 2008 by Julio Nieto.<\/p>\n

As you can see in the picture, it is a tremendously detailed and realistic sculpture, playing with a sense of movement by the position in which is the fisherwoman, walking, and fish entering the hub she is carrying in her hand right, giving a feeling of even greater life. The left hand is in charge of holding the basket based on the head, which was used formerly to carry as many items on each trip.<\/p>\n

How to find the Monument to the fisherwoman<\/h2>\n

The fisherwoman Monument is located in the heart of Puerto de la Cruz, right next to the fishing pier which is located in the town next to the Plaza del Charco<\/a>. This is the same fishing pier that takes a leading role during the Fiestas del Carmen, as it is where the Virgin embarks on this special day for the city.<\/p>\n
