Historical centre of Puerto de la Cruz<\/h3>\n

The historical centre of Puerto de la Cruz is linked to the sea by the Paseo de San Telmo<\/a> and the Fishermen’s Wharf<\/a> acting as an interface with other coastal areas of Puerto de la Cruz.<\/p>\n

The old town is mainly pedestrian, which is ideal for walking and enjoy the city and its leisure areas. You will also find treasures such as the La Pe\u00f1a de Francia Church, San Telmo Beach (awarded the Blue Flag status) or the emblematic Plaza del Charco<\/a>, historical meeting place for the city’s inhabitants.<\/p>\n

Marti\u00e1nez area<\/h3>\n

At one of the ends, after San Telmo Promenade, you will find the Marti\u00e1nez Area, with the famous Marti\u00e1nez Lake<\/a> and its adjacent Marti\u00e1nez Beach<\/a>, all embraced by a large number of hotels and the cliffs protecting this area.<\/p>\n

It is a pleasant area to walk and enjoy the proximity of the sea once you reach the Marti\u00e1nez Beach.<\/p>\n

Playa Jard\u00edn Area<\/h3>\n

If you like to enjoy long walks on the beach, \u200b\u200bPlaya Jard\u00edn<\/a> area will enchant you. Three high quality beaches are grouped together in this area, with historical treasures like the San Felipe Castle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the end of Playa Jard\u00edn area, you will find Punta Brava beach and neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, where a large part of the inhabitants of Puerto de la Cruz live, and where the famous Loro Parque<\/a> is located.<\/p>\n

High areas of Puerto de la Cruz<\/h2>\n

In the highest part of Puerto de la Cruz we find two places that are worth visiting.<\/p>\n

Taoro area with its emblematic park<\/h3>\n

A place for sport, rest and meditation is the emblematic Taoro Park<\/a> located on a small mountain, a lung within the city from which you can see all the beauty of Puerto de la Cruz and the sea.<\/p>\n
