Puerto de la Cruz will host a new edition of the Festival of Ancient Music between March and April 2017, in its commitment to make culture one of the most important signs of identity in the city. Fifteenth edition of the Ancient Music Festival of Puerto de la Cruz
This festival, which houses the style of ancient music and baroque music, which is not usual at present, is already consolidated in the cultural agenda of Puerto de la Cruz, this year being its fifteenth edition.
A festival that tries to cover a cultural gap existing in our times, that of the beautiful compositions that were produced centuries ago and that with events like this one is tried that they are not lost in the forgetfulness, as well as to spread it between the new generations.
The Timanfaya Theater, the Iglesia de la Peña de Francia and the Museum of Contemporary Art Eduardo Westerdahl will be the emblematic places of Puerto de la Cruz in which will take place the 7 auditions that will compose the agenda of the festival.

– Compositions of Kellners, Visée and Weiss will be interpreted with a baroque lute
– “A journey through music” by the duo composed by the soprano Cristina Barceló and Vicent Bru.
– Spanish music from the 13th century to the 20th century
