In the Ambassador Apartments we have a swimming pool, so that on hot days, particularly in summer, you can cool off by having a swim in a marvelous environment. However, there are also other attractions in Puerto de la Cruz to enjoy a nice swim while discovering new places and environments.
We are talking about the Lago Martiánez swimming pools located on the promenade of the city.

A short history of Lago Martiánez
Lago Martiánez was built in two separate stages. The first stage was developed in the area intended for the municipal swimming pool, where the architect César Manrique includes many aspects of the architecture and traditional vegetation of the Canary Islands.
The swimming pools were finally inaugurated in 1971 with two swimming pools for adults and one for children. However, and thanks to the success achieved after this first stage, it was decided to continue with the construction of a more spectacular work that would be inaugurated in 1977. This new project would consist of an artificial lake of sea water accompanied by numerous solariums and gardens, in addition to the beach.
Lago Martiánez today
Lago Martiánez is currently one of the most emblematic places on the island of Tenerife. The artificial lake contains 27,000 cubic meters of seawater, and currently has a total of seven pools, three for children, and four for adults.
In addition, Lago Martiánez has developed over time and also has bars and restaurants that make your visit a very pleasant experience for tourists.
It’s time for you to meet it
If you are thinking about visiting Puerto de la Cruz and still don’t know Lago Martiánez, it is time to live and enjoy the experience of these pleasant facilities and why not, have a swim in one of its pools.
