In this year 2017, the Tenerife Walking Festival will take place between 23 and 27 May.
What does the Tenerife Walking Festival offer?
Routes with professional guides for 20 different trails, organized on alternate days so that you can make the most of these experiences during the days of the festival.

Volcanic Routes

Green Routes
The north face of Tenerife is especially characterized by its green, due to the leafy flora that grows as a result of the trade winds.
The green routes that you will be able to realize during this event will be the following ones:
- Taganana – Las Vueltas – Albergue de Montes de Anaga
- Las Raíces – Las Lagunetas – Agua García
- Cruz del Carmen – Tegueste
- El Gaitero – La Caldera
- El Palmar – Talavera – Los Silos
Puerto de la Cruz as a meeting point
Puerto de la Cruz is one of the key places in which the Tenerife Walking Festival takes place.The bus stop of the Plaza de Europa is the location chosen as the starting point of all the routes of the festival.
At 8:30 in the morning will be the departure time to set course to any of the paths that you have chosen to perform.
The Plaza de Europa will also be the place where the welcome cocktail for the participants will be held, at 7 pm on Tuesday 23 May.
In addition, in Puerto de la Cruz, there will be free urban routes, such as the Botanical Route, which runs through emblematic places of Puerto de la Cruz such as the Botanical Garden, Sitio Litre Orchid Garden, or Taoro Park, or Route César Manrique, which will run through Lake Martiánez, San Felipe Castle, San Telmo Hermitage or La Ranilla.

Inscription
The basic registration fee for the Tenerife Walking Festival is marked at € 25 per person. Included in this price will be a special backpack for hikers, an event t-shirt, and a neck protector to protect the neck during walks.
Also included in the registration is the round trip transportation from the trails to Puerto de la Cruz.

Routes
The prices per route range from 25 to 30 € per person and you can carry out within the organization of the event a maximum of 4. These routes will be guided by local experts experts in the areas for which the routes will be made.
Picnic
If you also want to hire a picnic to feed you during the route, the supplement will be € 6 per person. Includes sandwich, piece of fruit and bottle of water.
