The Teide cable car is an interesting option for those tourists who do not want to walk a long trail, but during its passage through Tenerife do not want to miss the opportunity to visit the highest point in Spain and visit the top of this spectacular volcano. It is starring spectacular views especially to the north side of Tenerife.
How to reach the cable car of Teide
Assuming you’re planning your trip to stay in the North of Tenerife, specifically in Puerto de la Cruz, where you may be opting for the newly renovated Apartments Ambassador, then the best option to reach the cable car Teide is through the TF -21. In addition, upon arrival at the base of Teide Cableway you will find a fairly wide parking with a capacity of about 200 cars.
But if you do not have a car, there is also a bus line that brings you to the base of the Teide cable car, specifically the line 348 Puerto de La Cruz – Las Canadas del Teide, whose departure time is at 9:15 in the morning from the Puerto de La Cruz and returning at 4 pm from the Cable Car of Teide.

The journey takes about 40 minutes, and to realize it is necessary to obtain a free permit, which must be applied for weeks in advance.
On the other hand, is a path of medium difficulty, the Mirador Fortress Route No. 11, about 25 minutes. A practically flat track, which passes through the Altavista Refuge and from which one can overlook the north side of the island.
Finally, there is the Mirador Pico Viejo No. 12 route, a half-hour or so, which sets sail towards the south side of the island, from where you can see the crater of Pico Viejo and Los Gemelos and villages in Southern Tenerife, the airport, the island of La Gomera and El Hierro.
