The Teide cable car is an interesting option for those tourists who do not want to walk a long trail, but during its passage through Tenerife do not want to miss the opportunity to visit the highest point in Spain and visit the top of this spectacular volcano. How to reach the cable car of Teide

Tho street is linking the beautiful town of La Orotava with Portico de la Villa, entering Teide National Park.
In addition, upon arrival at the base of Teide Cableway you will find a fairly wide parking with a capacity of about 200 cars.
But if you do not have a car, there is also a bus line that brings you to the base of the Teide cable car, specifically the line 348 Puerto de La Cruz – Las Canadas del Teide, whose departure time is at 9:15 in the morning from the Puerto de La Cruz and returning at 4 pm from the Cable Car of Teide.
Price of the trip
The price for the round trip for adults to Teide by cable car is 27 € for non-residents and € 13.50 if they are resident. In the case of minors, the price is € 13.50 if they are non-residents and residents € 9.50.
Hiking trails on the summit
There are three paths that you can make from the end of the cable car Teide at 3,555 meters.
The main and busiest is obviously reaching the top of Mount Teide, by the path from the Mirador de la Fortaleza. If you enjoy a completely clear day, you can probably spot the 7 islands from the highest peak in Spain.
The journey takes about 40 minutes, and to realize it is necessary to obtain a free permit, which must be applied for weeks in advance.
On the other hand, is a path of medium difficulty, the Mirador Fortress Route No. 11, about 25 minutes. A practically flat track, which passes through the Altavista Refuge and from which one can overlook the north side of the island.
Finally, there is the Mirador Pico Viejo No. 12 route, a half-hour or so, which sets sail towards the south side of the island, from where you can see the crater of Pico Viejo and Los Gemelos and villages in Southern Tenerife, the airport, the island of La Gomera and El Hierro.

The trip to the Teide cable car is a trip to the highest point in Spain, from which you can glimpse sunsets, breathtaking valleys, pure nature and a panoramic view of all the Canary Islands on clear days.
